Lil Indians is entirely devoted to teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse to children just getting started, in a no pressure, fun atmosphere. We focus on the basics including how to hold a stick, scooping ground balls, foot work, throwing, and catching, all while masking the learning process with lots of fun games! Lil Indians practices once per week through the Fall season.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does registration ask for a USA Lacrosse member ID number?
Every player at all levels needs to first get a membership for USA lacrosse with an expiration date ending at the first week of June. This membership is how we have insurance coverage for all our players which is why it is mandatory in the registration process to have an active USA Lacrosse membership.
Q: My child has never played lacrosse- can s/he still join Lil Indians?
Perfect! We welcome kids at any experience level. Actually, this goes for all grades including 8th grade at Powhatan Lacrosse.
Powhatan Lacrosse is now offering Lil Indians!
This is a chance for beginners to learn the game. Most of all, our Lil Indians lacrosse programming is meant to be fun! We want our players to leave the field with a smile on their face every day, and learn life lessons that they can apply on and off the field. We have a great group of coaches who cannot wait to share lacrosse with all of you!
